Three summer movies to look forward to

At least where I live, the weather is still cold, and it’s snowed in the last 48 hours. I’m not feeling particularly fond of the weather currently, but I can’t help but dream of summer. When most people think of summer, they enjoy the swimming and barbecues and warm weather. I think of summer movies. Here are the ones I’m most looking forward to seeing…

Paper Towns
Paper Towns is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by John Green, author of The Fault in Our Stars. The story centers around Quentin, or “Q”, who becomes seemingly obsessed with his missing neighbor, Margo, and goes out to find her when she disappears. Cara Delevingne plays the enigmatic Margo, which should be exciting. I loved this novel, and the trailer looks lovely. Paper Towns comes out July 24th.

Jurassic World
I’m so excited for this one! Chris Pratt plays what appears to be a dinosaur trainer. In this film, the dinosaurs are helping the humans fight a genetically modified dinosaur species who is very, very deadly. The concept is just so strange to me since the dinosaurs have always been the antagonist. Now we’re teaming up with the dinosaurs to defeat…another dinosaur? This movie will be pure entertainment, and will give everyone a reason to watch the previous three installments in this series. Bryce Dallas Howard co-stars. Jurassic World comes out on June 12th.

Welcome To Me
This wonderful movie starring Kristen Wiig is about a woman named Alice (played by Wiig) who wins the lottery and gets her own talk show. It looks really beautiful, really touching and deeply powerful. I’m excited to see Kristen Wiig in this role, alongside James Marsden. Welcome to Me is released in theaters May 8th.

What are some movies you’re excited to see this summer?
