“Arrested Development” will have 17 more episodes

Arrested Development producer Brian Glazer casually mentioned to Grantland’s Bill Simmons this week that there is definitely an intention to create 17 more episode of the cult show for Netflix.

Previously, the show ran for three seasons on Fox, starting in 2003, and then was revived for a fourth season in 2013 for Netflix. Last fall, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said that he was “positive” another season of Arrested Development would come to Netflix, but that, “It’s just a matter of when.”

The timeline is still really vague, so it could be a while before season 5 is out. It’s probably a great time to binge on past episodes on Netflix now. That’s what I’ll be doing–and reacting like Lucille because it’s SUCH EXCITING NEWS!
