Today’s Virtually Besties with Tessa B. highlights YouTube comedian Mamrie Hart.

Mamrie Hart is foul, crass, Southern, and “punny” – and I can’t get enough of her. Her YouTube series “You Deserve a Drink” (YDAD) honors celebrities, YouTubers, and other pop culture phenomenons with unique cocktail recipes and a built-in drinking game. She currently has over 910,000 subscribers and 42 million views on her main YouTube channel. She also has a second channel called Mametown with seriously impressing numbers where she displays the breadth of her comedy through original characters, songs, and videos with her strange little Mexican Hairless dog, Beanz.

Some of my favorite YDAD videos include:

A Toast to Full House: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oejaVukRNFc

Ya Busted with Tyler Oakley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMk7Q_KL_kM

Harry Potter’s Flaming Butterbeer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0jlMAF7rwU

Hart, like her BFF Grace Helbig, has worked on a variety of other non-YouTube related projects. She co-wrote, co-produced, and co-starred in the 2014 indie film Camp Takota and also joined Helbig and fellow YouTuber Hannah Hart (no relation) in the live comedy show #NoFilter. She’s written for and performed in award-winning sketch comedy groups as part of the Upright Citizens Brigade.

Her latest project is a memoir entitled You Deserve a Drink, which has instantly become a New York Times bestseller after its May 26 release. The book is described as a compilation of “her best drinking stories—and worst hangovers—into one hilarious volume. From the spring break where she and her girlfriends avoided tan lines by staying at an all-male gay nudist resort, to the bachelorette party where she accidentally hired a sixty year old meth head to teach the group pole dancing, to the time she lit herself on fire during a Flaming Lips concert, Hart accompanies each story with an original cocktail recipe, ensuring that You Deserve a Drink is as useful as it is entertaining.”

Subscribe to Mamrie Hart on YouTube if you’re into pop culture, puns, sexual innuendos, and booze.
